Combine two of the most successful Netflix shows of all time, Orange Is The New Black and Stranger Things, and what do you get? Probably something close to the streaming site's upcoming comedy series GLOW.
Arriving on 23rd June, GLOW is produced by Orange Is The New Black writer Jenji Kohan and, much like the love letter to the 80s that was Stranger Things, it's a great big retro-fest.
Though GLOW is also, of course, very much its own beast. Mad Men's Alison Brie stars as Ruth, a struggling Los Angeles actress who joins America's first all-woman wrestling league (GLOW is an acronym for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, a real TV show that ran from 1986-1990 to counter the men's wrestling league).
With a mostly-female cast of characters and a whip-smart script, it's got all the humour and depth Jenji Kohan brought to Orange, coupled with more big hair and lycra than you thought it was possible to crowbar into a single show.
Brie is joined by Nurse Jackie star Betty Gilpin, Captive's Sydelle Noel and British former pop star Kate Nash (yes, she of 'Foundations' fame) as well as Marc Maron as GLOW's jaded director.
