The Game of Thrones teaser pictures from the finale show that Cersei's in big trouble
Oh dear.
Oh dear.
Words by Jadie Troy-Pryde
Spoilers are coming, obviously
Things are heating up in Westeros right now, and it's not just because Daenerys has been on a murderous spree with her dragons. The key players are set to meet (finally!) in the upcoming finale for season 7, The Dragon and the Wolf, and every intricately weaved storyline will culminate in this explosive exit episode.
And if the recently released teaser pics are anything to go by, Cersei might need to start sleeping with one eye open.
Will Jaime kill Cersei in the Game of Thrones finale?
Since the start of the season, theories have been flying around about the Mad Queen's fate. While Ed Sheeran's cameo might have divided fans, his character's song, Hands of Gold, was thought to be foreshadowing Cersei's death at the hands of Jaime. SCANDAL.
In the books, Maggy the Frog prophesied that Cersei would be strangled to death by her 'valongar' or 'little brother', which she had always assumed would be Tyrion. But when season one opened with the twin Lannisters standing on the map of Westeros, with Cersei standing on the area of the map referred to as ‘The Neck’, and Jaime was standing on the area known as ‘The Fingers’, fans everywhere took it as a secret Game of Thrones message.

And if Jaime (who is technically also Cersei's little brother) is about to strangle his twin/sister/girlfriend, it might be coming sooner rather than later. This teaser picture of the pair sat in the dragon pit (we assume) looks very tense - and with Jaime getting ever worried about his lover's erratic behaviour, we wouldn't be surprised if Cersei meets her maker in a dramatic season finale.
Why are the Unsullied and Dothraki steaming towards Westeros?
The last time Jaime and Bron saw Daenerys' army, the Lannister soldiers were being hacked up by the Dothraki and burnt to a crisp by a dragon, so it's probably fair that they're looking a tad worried by their arrival in Westeros.
But the question is - why are they all there? Has Daenerys brought them merely as muscle in case anything kicks off or has she got some badass plan up her sleeve? If you remember all the times that Dany descended on cities in Essos, she was calculated and strategic in her takeovers. Can we expect more of old Daenerys in the Game of Thrones finale? We hope so.
Speaking of which - why isn't Daenerys at the big Game of Thrones finale meeting?
It doesn't look like the Mother of Dragons has time to go to the Big Meeting after all. Despite getting Jon Snow to go beyond the wall to catch a wight, it looks like Dany is giving it a rain check. Granted, she's probably still grieving Viserys (so are we), and the Game of Thrones teasers often try and trick us, but this can either mean one of two things - she is there but we just haven't seen her, or she genuinely isn't there because she has something huge planned.
If it's the former, that's just rude. Even The Hound and The Mountain are turning up for a brotherly battle.
Up north, Sansa is getting a bit too Grim Reaper for our liking
Forget Taylor Swift, if this picture is anything to go by Sansa Ssstark is the original snake. Remember how a director admitted that death is coming for Sansa or Arya Stark? While everybody (ahem, me) would prefer to keep Arya, it looks like we might be losing the tiny assassin and her handbag of peeled-off faces for good.
Sansa has ditched her dark new outfits for a hooded cloak and she looks pretty much like death itself, which we're taking as a hint that she's going to be victorious in the battle against Arya (NOOOO!). But with any luck, scheming and gross Petyr Baelish will also get wiped out in the Game of Thrones finale - (little) fingers crossed.
Bran is still being weird, and probably isn't doing anything useful
What's your plan, Bran? To stare into the fire/at trees/make inappropriate comments forever? All I have to say about this one is that he better start spilling soon, because Jon needs to find out about his true parentage, and if Bran is actually the Night King then someone needs to Valeryian steel him quickly.
What's going on with Theon in the Game of Thrones finale?
To be honest, I kind of forgot he was still going. He's been pretty quiet this season, and while it'd be sad to see him go his chances of survival plummeted when his sister was kidnapped by Euron.
So why is Theon cropping up in the Game of Thrones finale teaser pics? We have literally no idea about this one, sorry.
