There are spoilers ahead for all the latest episodes of Game of Thrones, so if you’re not up to date, better flee here like the Lannister army trying to out run the Dothraki fighters on horseback.
As you are well aware, Jon Snow has traveled south to meet with Daenerys Targaryen, who he’s hoping will soon become his ally in his fight against the White Walkers. Dany also happens to be Jon’s aunt, though no one (except for Bran) knows this is a thing. The two are currently very touch-and-go when it comes to getting along and helping one another out, since Jon refuses to bend the knee even after Dany gives him the dragonglass under Dragonstone.
During the latest episode, The Spoils of War, Jon took Dany into a cave, and you know what happens when Jon takes you into a cave. That’s basically Jon Snow’s way of saying, 'I love you.'
That’s not entirely true, but it’s not far from the truth. During the after-episode breakdown, showrunner David Benioff explained that, yes, Jon and Dany are in fact attracted to one another. This is both cool…and a little bit weird. They are related, they just don’t know it yet.

'There’s tension on two sides. One is the political, where Jon Snow has a very specific purpose here on Dragonstone, and that’s to get the dragonglass, and if possible, convince Dany to fight with him,' Benioff explains. 'Dany has her own very specific purpose, which is to get Jon to bend the knee. It’s conflict. And it’s conflict between powerful people.
'Then to make it even more complicated, they’re starting to be attracted to each other. So much of it is not from dialogue, or anything we wrote, it’s just the two of them in a small space being near each other, and us just watching that, and feeling the heat of that.'
This episode also saw Davos gently shipping Jon and Dany — by joking that Jon was looking at Dany’s 'good heart,' and that’s not weird or anything. These two might be endgame, and might be aunt and nephew, but they are similar in age, and it wouldn’t be entirely unreal for Westeros. We think we’re shipping them too. Maybe? IDK. It’s really weird. Beautiful people should be together, it’s just a little complicated when they’re related by blood.
