Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Are Getting Their Own Sitcom
Could we really get anymore jealous of Hollywood's most loved-up couple?
Could we really get anymore jealous of Hollywood's most loved-up couple?
We’re so excited about the news that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are set to get a sitcom based on their incredibly enviable relationship. Yep, that’s right, one of our favourite Hollywood couples have sparked the creation of a brand spanking new comedy, and we’re giddy at the prospect of it hitting our screens.
A three year development deal has supposedly been made between Kenya Barris, the creator of hilarious comedy show Black-ish, and the TV network ABC, and some reports suggest that it could start filming as early as February. With the working title Ordinary People (naturally, after the name of one of John’s hit songs), the show allegedly focuses upon the lives of an interracial couple, looking at the issues and obstacles that occur in their personal relationship.
Unfortunately the loved-up duo will not be starring in the show (we’re sobbing a little inside), but can you imagine how amazing it would be to watch John serenade Chrissy on the piano whilst she balances a plate of chicken wings on her bum?!
And you thought we were making this up...
Seriously though, what couple could be better to base a rom com on? There is no doubt that Chrissy and John are the most loved-up twosome in Hollywood; if they’re not making us swoon with their red carpet PDAs, they’re making us envious with their gushing social media posts and pictures of them lying in bed, eating pizza all day.
Thankfully Chrissy and John will have some creative input, as they will be parterning with Kenya Barris on the project. So, between the hilarious trio, we’re expecting a seriously good, award-winning sitcom to binge-watch.
