Teen Choice Awards' Most Memorable Moments
Seriously scary
Gwen Stefani sported some seriously scary hair when she reported for duty with No Doubt at the awards in 2000. And is that a wedding dress she's wearing? The star and her band had just finished their Return of Satan tour (supported by the very young looking Black Eye Peas!) and wowed the crowd with a rockin' performance.
Britney Spears
Fresh faced and full of smiles, Britney donned some dodgy denim and stepped out onto the stage for the second time at the awards 2001.Tanned, toned and healthy, Brit picked up prizes for Female Artist and Hottest Female.

Jim Carey's bandage mask
You just never know what Jim Carey has in store. The Hollywood funnyman turned up at the awards in 2003 with his face wrapped in bandages. 'I am getting a little work done,' he joked to the audience as he greeted Will Ferrell on stage to collect his Choice Comedian prize. 'It's important for me to stay connected to the youth of America. Youthful appearance is everything in this business, as we know.'
A red carpet disaster?
Fresh from their Simple Life success, Paris Hilton andNicole Richie took to the red carpet at the awards in 2003. The star's may have earned nominations for their series, but we didn't love their look on the night.

Lindsay Lohan's amazing year
2004 was a great year for Lindsay, career-wise, with the Tina Fey penned comedy Mean Girls hitting our screens. A million miles away from the troubled star of today, the clean-cut teen dazzled the cameras, before stepping inside to pick up awards for Female Breakout Movie Star, Movie Hissy Fit and Best Blush.
Uptown Girls
Uptown Girls duo Dakota Fanning and the late Brittany Murphytook to the stage in 2006 to present the Best Hissy Fit prize, awarded to AdamSandler. Aged just eight, tiny Dakota (described by Brittany as 'a gigglebunny,') stood on a special step to reach the microphone and read out her partof the announcement.
K-Fed's first performance
One of her many appearances over the years, Britney took to the stage amid massive screams at the awards in 2006. Expecting Jayden James at the time, there were no performances from the star herself, but instead she stepped out to introduce hubby Kevin Federline's (less than brilliant) debut performance of single Lose Control. Suffice to say, K-Fed was never invited back.
Gwen's grand entrance
There's nothing like making a grand entrance, and Gwen Stefani well and truly stole the show when she opened the awards in 2005. The star led a procession down the red carpet as she sang hit tune Hollaback Girl, marching right into the theatre and onto the stage. And it turned out to be a great night for the blonde beauty. She swept the board, taking home four awards, including Choice Breakout and Best Female Video.
A Noteworthy Year
Fresh from their success in the Notebook, on and off screen couple Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams were firm fixtures on the Hollywood circuit in 2005, picking up awards left, right and centre for their acclaimed flick. But the pair had a little lovers tiff on the Teen Choice red carpet in 2005, exchanging angry glares as they posed for photos. Rach and Ryan soon made up, and as the evening went on, and they celebrated winning an amazing eight awards - including Best Drama and Best Liplock - for their celebrated film.
Paris Hilton's wardrobe malfunction
Paris Hilton had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction when she stepped out on the red carpet in 2005, as she tripped and accidentally catching her heels caught in the hem of her dress. Oh dear. But the savvy star didn't let it faze her. After a quick readjustment, she was all smiles, and posed for pictures as she strutted down the red carpet.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom couldn't be heard for screaming when they stepped on stage at the awards in 2006. The swoon-worthy pair set a whole crowd of A-list hearts aflutter, as they turned up to collect their Choice Action Movie award for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Brand Beckham arrives
David Beckham collected his first surfboard at the awards in 2008, when he picked up the Choice Male Athlete gong. The footballing ace beat off stiff competition for the prestigious prize - including golfer Tiger Woods and Basketball star Kobe Bryant - proving Brand Beckham had well and truly arrived in America.
All grown up
After years in the spotlight, High School musical stars Zac Effron and Vanessa Hudgens were all grown up, stepping out as an official couple for the first time at the awards in 2008. The loved-up pair couldn't keep their hands off each other, and Zac beamed with pride as his lovely beau picked up the Choice Female Hottie award.
Cruz Beckham hits the stage
David was well and truly upstaged by his youngest son Cruz at last year's awards, as the talented three-year-old took to the stage for an impromptu showcase of his break-dancing moves. Fresh from his stint on tour with the Spice Girls, Cruz was not at all camera-shy, and showed off his skills to claps and cheers from the audience as his amused dad looked on. The biggest cheer of all came from proud mum Victoria, who beamed at him from the front row.
Calling all Gleeks!
Glee danced into our homes for the first time just last year, and has gone from small screen to big time in a matter of months. The cast were out en masse at the 2009 awards, and have gone from strength to strength ever since. This year, the stars are back, and set to sweep the board. And not content with a whopping 13 nominations, four of our favourite Glee boys - Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Cory Monteith and Mark Salling - will be taking to the stage alongside Katy Perry to present the prestigious ceremony
Twilight Fever
Twilight fever was hotting up at last year s ceremony, and excitement reached fever pitch when not one, not two, but three of the flick s top stars stepped out on the green (yes, green!) carpet. R-Patz dressed down for the event, while Kristen, fresh from her role as rocker Joan Jett in the Runaways, went for rock-chic locks and a fierce spiky mini. Taylor was smart as ever, and caused quite a stir as he strolled down the red carpet. Twi-mania had arrived.
A Robert and Kristen romance?
K-Stew and R-Patz relationship rumours were already in full swing, and the pair added further fuel to the fire by staying close, whispering and giggling together throughout the evening. The pair frequently stepped up on stage to accept their many Twilight awards during the evening and were spotted mingling with other A-listers and chatting to co-stars. This year, Twilight s received a whopping ten nominations but how many will it take home on the night?
Britney's back
Britney proved she was well and truly back on the scene at last year s awards, stepping out in a dazzling black Roberto Cavalli minidress and towering heels. Putting her past troubles behind her, Brit was honoured with the Ultimate Choice Awards at the glittering ceremony, and was back with a bang to accept her gong, looking tanned, toned and glowing with health.
A Jonas hair cut
The Jonas Brothers hosted the Teen Choice Awards in 2009, and the terrible trio got up to allsorts of trouble on stage. For some idea, the brave brothers decided to let Mike Tyson loose on their hair, with the retired boxer stepping on stage (fresh from his walk-on part in The Hangover) armed with a scarily sharp pair of scissors. Middle brother Joe was the lucky recipient of Mike s shearing skills, having his luscious locks chopped live on stage, much to the delight of the audience.
