If one thing is for sure it's that the U.S. presidential elections have been causing a fair few Americans concern (and you only have to read some of those Donald Trump quotes to understand why). And among those concerned State-siders is Sex and the City star, Sarah Jessica Parker.
In a recent interview with ES Magazine, the actress explained that the current presidential elections in the US were proving 'complicated'. And while SJP wasn't explicit about her own political persuasions, she did reveal that she is a big fan of one British politician: Sadiq Khan.
Explaining that the election of the mayor was a 'great comfort' to many Americans, Sarah Jessica Parker went on to say that she was excited to see what the future held for the new mayor of London.
'I’m so thrilled with your new mayor, especially in this particular climate,' said Sarah. 'His election was not only a great comfort to a lot of us who are in the midst of a very complicated election season but it also told a great story of this city — I’m very excited about him.'
Despite her admiration for our capital city and its mayor now, Sarah Jessica Parker hasn't always had the smoothest relationship with London apparently.
In the interview with ES Magazine, the 51-year-old actress revealed that she had a run in with the British police back in 1979: 'My mother and I were taking the train to the airport and somebody told us we had missed our stop,' she revealed.

'My mom pulled the emergency cord, the train came to a screeching halt and she jumped off. A police officer told my mother that "not in the history of British rail’ had this ever happened."'
Blimey. Sounds like Mama Parker was not a woman to mess with.
