Victoria Beckham explains the hilarious meaning behind her new t-shirt design
And we love her even more for it.
And we love her even more for it.
Victoria Beckham is notoriously witty, frequently using her social media channels to deliver sharp put downs and one-liners. The person she likes to make fun of the most, however, is herself, often poking fun at her singing skills, past fashion choices AND reputation for being posh.
Last week she launched a limited edition monochrome t-shirt, featuring a hilarious slogan, ‘Fashion Stole My Smile’ – a nod to her most mocked feature, her trademark pout.
When asked by Vanity Fair if her new t-shirt design was referencing her trademark straight face, Victoria confirmed it, stating, ‘That was me poking fun at myself. People are constantly asking me why I don’t take pictures smiling. It’s a bit of fun really and me laughing at myself. This is fashion and it should be fun.’
The t-shirt is retailing at £95 on VictoriaBeckham.com
The release of the monochrome Victoria Beckham slogan tee could not have come at a better time, tiding us over as we wait in suspense for her new budget collaboration with Target to hit the shelves later this month.
‘I’m really proud of this collection’, VB explained. ‘This is the first time I’ve been able to reach women that maybe can’t afford or just don’t want to pay designer prices. So for me to really include everybody is important. The clothes are fun, colorful and uplifting. I want to make women feel great.’

She continued: ‘I have always played around with clothes because I really enjoy dressing myself and dressing other people and seeing how that makes women feel about themselves. I also love it because for me it’s about being very honest, true to myself and giving my customer what I want and what I believe what she wants and empower them.’
Victoria’s highly anticipated Target collection will be available in stores nationwide and online on April 9.
