It has been reported today that Selena Gomez has been admitted to a mental health facility following a reported ‘emotional breakdown’ by TMZ.
According to the outlet, the 26-year-old has been hospitalised twice in two weeks, with the most recent being down to the breakdown.
The first hospital visit is said to have taken place in the last week of September, when according to the outlet, the Wolves singer was ‘despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant’.
After being released a few days later, Selena was reportedly ‘re-admitted late last week because her low blood cell count persisted’ and ‘it threw Selena into a downward emotional spiral’.
According to TMZ, the It Ain’t Me singer wanted to leave hospital and had an ‘emotional breakdown’ when she wasn’t able to.
Selena is said to be resting and receiving dialectical behaviour therapy at an East Coast psychiatric facility.
