Selena Gomez has released a new song and it's all about anxiety

Selena Gomez has always been vocal about her mental health, going MIA in October after it was reported that she had been admitted to a mental health facility following a reported ‘emotional breakdown.’
The 26-year-old was reportedly hospitalised twice in two weeks, with the most recent being down to the breakdown.
The first hospital visit is said to have taken place in the last week of September, when according to the TMZ, the singer was ‘despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant’.
This week, Selena broke her four-month social media silence with a life update.
‘It’s been a while since you have heard from me, but I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and to thank you for your love and support,’ Selena posted. ‘Last year was definitely a year of self-reflection, challenges and growth. It’s always those challenges which show you who you are and what you are capable of overcoming. Trust me, it’s not easy, but I am proud of the person I am becoming and look forward to the year ahead. Love you all.’
But music-wise she has remained silent, that is, until now.

Yes, the 26-year-old has just dropped a new song - with the help of her friend Julia Michaels - and it’s all about anxiety.
‘My friends, they wanna take me to the movies, I tell 'em to fuck off, I'm holding hands with my depression. And right when I think I've overcome it. Anxiety starts kicking in to teach that shit a lesson,’ Julia sings.
Selena then joins in, singing: ‘But all my friends, they don't know what it's like, what it's like. They don't understand why I can't sleep through the night. And I thought that I could take something to fix it. Damn, I wish it, I wish it was that simple, ah. All my friends they don't know what it's like, what it's like.’
Announcing the release on her Instagram, Selena posted a sweet photo with Julia alongside the caption:
‘My sweet soul sister. Julia you have been a huge part of my life. You have taught me how to have courage when I have self doubt. This song is extremely close to my heart as I’ve experienced anxiety and know a lot of my friends do too. You’re never alone if you feel this way. The message is much needed and I really hope you guys like it!’
Well, that’s our inspirational song of the year sorted.
