It looks like the royals are just as Harry Potter obsessed as we are
Thank God.
Thank God.
The new generation of royals is a hit with the public for the simple reason that they are relatable.
Gone are the days where we would only see a royal waving from Buckingham Palace balcony. Now they are accessible, all over social media, from Princess Eugenie dominating Instagram with her behind the scenes royal snaps to the Queen and Prince Philip’s Twitter account.
In fact royals are getting more like us by the day, with news emerging of their love of emojis, Game of Thrones addictions and their takeaway orders of choice.
Now it seems we all share something else - a love of Harry Potter.
Yes, really. In the new BBC documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall reveals that her husband is quite the fan, especially if it involves reading to the younger royals.
‘He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making funny noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him,’ she explained. ‘He reads Harry Potter and he can do all the different voices and I think children really appreciate that.’

And this isn’t the first time the royals have been linked to the Wizarding series, with Pottermore pointing out that Prince Louis has a very Harry Potter moniker.
‘Louis Arthur Charles, you were named after three iconic Weasleys… #RoyalBabyName,’ the site posted in reference to Bill and Fleur’s son Louis, Ron’s father Authur and Ron’s brother, Charlie.
Minds blown.
