Rihanna has been making waves in the news this week, from her bejewelled Bishop’s get-up at the 2018 Met Gala last week to her comments on whether or not she might be tuning into the Royal Wedding later this month. Spoiler alert - it looks like she might be watching.
This week however, the 30-year-old singer found herself in the news for a very different reason, as her £5 million LA mansion was targeted yesterday by a burglar.
The Man Down singer’s neighbours reportedly notified police when they saw an unknown man leaving her house while she was away, with reports also emerging that her alarm system had been tampered with.
The suspect, a 26-year-old man, was arrested soon after on suspicion of breaking into Rihanna's Hollywood Hills West home, with the Los Angeles Police Department confirming the news to NBC News last night.
The break-in reportedly happened just before 10am, and according to the police, it is possible that the burglar was in the property overnight, with it currently unclear how long he was inside for.
The suspect has reportedly been booked into LAPD’s Hollywood Division Jail, and Rihanna has yet to comment on the incident.
