Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly off to Mexico to visit Thomas Markle
But when?
But when?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot last weekend in a touching (and star-studded) ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
But it wasn’t the royal wedding guests or the incredible after party that got everyone talking, with Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, being the most talked-about aspect of the day, and its run-up.
The bride’s father was noticeably absent at the nuptials, having pulled out of the wedding earlier that week, with Meghan walking herself down the aisle and then being met by now father-in-law Prince Charles at the halfway point.
‘Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding,’ Meghan wrote in the statement released to Kensington Palace’s social media platforms ahead of the wedding, following his decision to bow out due to health reasons. ‘I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.’
Following the touching ceremony, Meghan’s father Thomas Markle released a statement on the day, voicing his thoughts about the event. ‘My baby looks beautiful and she looks very happy,’ he reportedly told TMZ. ‘I wish I were there and I wish them all my love and all happiness.’
While many felt sorry for Meghan that her father was not there for her big day, she classily proved that there were no hard feelings, with the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly planning on visiting Thomas Markle in Mexico as he recovers.

According to Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl, the couple are very keen to visit Meghan’s father, with Nicholl telling Entertainment Tonight, that it will happen sooner rather than later.
‘I hear one of the things they want to do sooner than later — and now that they’re married — is to go and see Thomas Markle, who is recovering from a heart operation,’ she announced to Entertainment Tonight. ‘We don’t know when this trip might happen. … I’m hearing from people close to Meghan and Harry that they’re very keen to do it.’
The couple are set to go on a honeymoon later this year, with their first official trip abroad being a mini moon to Ireland in the coming months.
A trip to Mexico could happen before their other trips though, with Meghan understandably wanting to spend time with her father.
