It looks like Meghan Markle will be attending Pippa Middleton’s wedding
And we’re thrilled.
And we’re thrilled.
Pippa Middleton announced her engagement to multi-millionaire hedge fund manager, James Matthews, last July, with the couple set to wed this May.
With their wedding date fast approaching, news of the couple’s impending nuptials have been emerging each day.
Unsurprisingly Prince George and Princess Charlotte will have key roles in Pippa's wedding, with George being named pageboy and Charlotte taking on the role of bridesmaid - plus after the amazing hen weekend she helped throw, we’re putting our money on Kate Middleton as maid of honour.
The most surprising piece of news to emerge however, related to the wedding’s exclusive guest list, with the bride supposedly putting in place a ‘no bling no bring’ rule, essentially meaning that friends can only bring a plus one if they are engaged or married to them.
Unfortunately for Prince Harry’s long-term girlfriend, Meghan Markle, the new rule meant that she would be unable to attend, something that many saw as deliberate exclusion on Pippa’s part to avoid a media frenzy and to ensure that the focus remains on her.
Luckily, Pippa seems to have made a last-minute exception for Meghan, allowing Prince Harry to bring the Suits actress as his plus one. There is a condition however. Due to Meghan Markle not yet being engaged or married to Prince Harry, she will be unable to attend the ceremony, invited for the reception only.

The groom’s younger brother, former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, was also affected by the ‘no bling no bring’ rule, told he was unable to bring his model girlfriend, Vogue Williams, as his plus one.
‘Pippa’s view is that it wouldn’t be appropriate for her to be there after a few months of dating,’ a source told The Sun. ‘But some are shocked because her future brother-in-law will end up attending on his own.’ There is no news yet as to whether a last-minute exception has also been made for her.
