And it's lovely.

Meghan Markle has her biggest royal test to date this week, taking on the real duties that come with a title as big as the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan will be attending a string of royal outings solo on behalf of the royal family, from Loughborough university to the Oceania exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

But her first test was yesterday, kicking off her week of royal duties by hosting (yes, hosting) an event at Kensington Palace to celebrate the launch of the cookbook, Together, created by a group of women affected by the Grenfell Tower in an effort to bring their community together.

While Prince Harry's attendance wasn't unexpected, with the Duke walking proudly behind his wife, there was a surprise guest who Meghan brought along with them.

The guest in question? Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland.

As Meghan, who helped to create the cookbook, assisted with serving out for lunch, Doria mingled with guests, introducing herself as 'Meg's mum' and telling them that she was 'head over heels with pride'

Doria, who was dressed in a chic camel ensemble, fitted in seamlessly - with many hoping that the 62-year-old would make more appearances in future, especially now she might be moving to London.

According to The Express, the former yoga instructor is ‘moving to the UK’, quitting her job as a social worker in May in preparation for the big move.

‘She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible’ an unnamed LA source reportedly told the publication. ‘She hasn’t been staying at her house for a while now. She has only visited the house very occasionally and when she is there she has had a security guard with her.’

The source continued: ‘She is fiercely loyal to Meghan and would never betray her like the rest of them. They are so close.’

Thank goodness Meghan has her mum by her side!
