There’s trouble in paradise for our favourite Hollywood duos. After Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth confirmed their separation last week, another A-list couple has decided to call it quits, with multiple sources reporting that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx ended their relationship back in May, after six years of dating.
While both parties have yet to confirm the break up, the news comes days after the 51-year-old actor was seen holding hands with singer Sela Vave as they were leaving a club in Los Angeles on Friday night. A bystander then overheard Holmes telling her friends at dinner: ‘what Jamie does is his business — we haven’t been together for months.’
Holmes and Foxx first sparked dating rumours in 2013, when they were spotted together at a fundraising event in the Hamptons. The couple has always been very secretive about their romance, never really confirming they were dating, despite being photographed together on many occasions.
The duo made their first official appearance together in January 2018, at the Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammys Gala in New York. In May this year, Holmes and Foxx then made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala, before going their separate ways later that month.
Prior to the split, People reported that Jamie and Katie weren’t trying to keep their relationship a secret. ‘They both like to keep it under the radar,’ a source revealed. ‘They have nothing to hide but Jamie, especially, is very low key about his life in general, and rarely talks about it.’
While we're sad to see another fan-favourite couple split, we wish Katie and Jamie nothing but happiness.
