Here’s why you might not be seeing Jennifer Lawrence for a while
Say it isn't so!
Say it isn't so!
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the highest-paid actresses in the world, and from her roles in Mother! and Passengers to Joy and X-Men, she has had a busy few years.
It is hardly surprising therefore, that the 27-year-old actress wants to take some time out - but as she explained in a recent interview, she won’t be putting her feet up, instead choosing to focus on another project close to her heart.
‘I’m going to take the next year off,’ she explained while promoting her latest spy thriller film, Red Sparrow. ’I’m going to be working with this organization as a part of Represent.Us, trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.’
She continued: ‘It doesn’t have anything to do with partisan [politics]. It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state by state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy.’
While the Internet went into a state of panic almost immediately, it looks like we don’t have to worry too much.
Thankfully it seems that we have got some time to wait, with J-Law still attached to upcoming projects Bad Blood and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. And according to her reps, she will be returning to work when her projects are ready to go.
