It’s been nearly two years since Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux ended their relationship – the actors were last spotted together in public in February 2018 – but it looks like the two reunited over the weekend to say goodbye to their dog Dolly, named after singer Dolly Parton.
Theroux, who shared the news of the passing of their White Shepherd on Instagram with six pictures, captioned the post: ‘Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle... our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family.’
He continued to quote American politician George Graham Vest: ‘The one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungrateful... is the dog – faithful and true, even in death.’
One of the images shows Theroux holding hands with a woman who is presumably Jennifer Aniston. The duo shared ownership of Dolly, as well as their other dog, a terrier named Clyde, who can been seen in one of the shots too.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux started dating back in 2011, were engaged in August of 2012 and married in August of 2015. In February 2018, after two and a half years of marriage, the couple announced their split.
Their joint statement, issued through Aniston's publicist, stated the ‘decision to split was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year,’ adding they ‘decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing [their] cherished friendship.’
