The stunning Imogen Poots hits our screens this week alongside James McAvoy in Danny Boyle's new film Filth. Here are 8 reasons why the totally awesome 24-year-old is about to become Hollywood's latest ingenue. Mark our words.
1. She has natural talent
Just like the lovely Jennifer Lawrence, Imogen went straight into acting without any formal training. She started off by attending a local West London theatre company and hasn't looked back since.
2. She started young
Imogen made her debut as a pregnant teen in Casualty, all the way back in 2004. Roles in V For Vendetta and 28 Weeks Later followed.
3. She's bright
Imogen attended London's Latymer Upper School, where she gained 3 A's at A-Level and won a place at the prestigious Courtauld Institute of Art. She turned it down to pursue her acting career, though, and has been working ever since.

4. She's all about female empowerment
Imogen doesn't want to play the 'pretty girl' parts or be objectified for her looks. 'You get scripts where women are just objects,' she told The Independent in 2010. 'If a role has been too one-dimensional I have turned it down. I still try to be a feminist in some tiny way... Judi Dench and Maggie Smith have constantly changed over the years and challenged themselves with different roles. That's impressive.' We can definitely see the talented young Brit following in her icons' footsteps.
5. She's modest
Despite having a figure that most of us would kill for, Imogen endearingly plays down her looks. In 2010, she joked with the Evening Standard that she had turned down shoots for men's magazines because, 'I'm not sure I really have the right equipment to deliver'.
6. She's versatile
Imogen has done everything from period dramas (she starred in the 2011 adaptation of Jane Eyre) to grittier parts, such as the role of drug addict Debbie Raymond in 2013's The Look of Love.
7. She's going to be in six blockbusters next year
Get ready to see Imogen everywhere. She'll be locking lips with Zac Efron in rom-com That Awkward Moment, is playing a street-car dealer opposite Dominic Cooper in the video game inspired film Need For Speed, and will be cosying up to Christian Bale and Natalie Portman in Knight Of Cups. Other roles will see her star alongside Jennifer Aniston and Rhys Ifans in Squirrels to the Nuts, and with Pierce Brosnan and Rosamund Pike in A Long Way Down. All in 2014. Seriously, does this girl ever sleep?
8. She's already a fash pack darling
Sofia Coppola personally selected Imogen as the face of Chloé Eau de Parfum for the brand's 2011 campaign. We're sure she'll be all over the FROW in no time.
