Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have kept their first child, Bodhi Soleil, hidden from the public eye since her birth on July 25, but on Saturday, Reed decided to share the first glimpse of her little girl.
The actress shared a photo from her laid-back weekend, and Bodhi’s adorable little legs made it into the frame. In the adorable Instagram, Reed’s bare leg is folded up near a good book, while her daughter’s feet rest on her calf. ‘Happiness is a book and these toes on a Saturday afternoon….’ she wrote alongside the photo.
The couple managed to keep their pregnancy under wraps until just two months before Reed gave birth. They announced the happy news on Instagram along with a picture of Somerhalder kissing his wife’s pregnant stomach.
‘To our friends, family, and rest of the world. In my 38 years on this earth I've never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this,’ Somerhalder wrote in an Instagram post that revealed the pregnancy. ‘I can't think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first.’
‘This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fast ... because that's what they do, they grow so fast,’ he wrote. ‘Thank you for your kind energy. Love, Ian.’
