Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson just redefined break up goals
This is lovely.
This is lovely.
Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their split in 2013, they have been very upfront about their relationship, the difficulties of divorce and the importance of family - something they addressed this week.
The former couple, who wed in 2003, issued their separation announcement on the Goop website 10 years after tying the knot, introducing us to the term ‘consciously uncoupling’.
‘It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,’ the couple wrote in their statement. ‘We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.’
The statement concluded: ‘We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time.’
Since announcing the news, both Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have moved on while successfully remaining close friends, extending the olive branch to each other’s new partners.
Chris and Brad Falchuk (Gwyneth’s new husband) were photographed brunching together, with the Goop CEO captioning the Instagram snap with the hashtag ‘#modernfamily’.

And now it seems that this week they have done it again, with Dakota Johnson reportedly joining her rumoured partner Chris Martin for a Thanksgiving celebration with Gwyneth and the kids. Yes, 14-year-old Apple and 12-year-old Moses were in attendance too.
‘They’re a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together,’ an insider told People.
