George Clooney turned 56 on Saturday, celebrating his birthday with his 39-year-old wife, Amal, and some very special friends.
The party was reportedly an intimate gathering held at the couple’s London home, with George’s business partner, Rande Gerber, and his wife, Cindy Crawford, flying in from L.A. for the occasion.
‘Amal set it all up, and Rande and Cindy surprised George when he got home Saturday’, a source told E! News. ‘Amal made it a joint birthday celebration since Rande’s birthday was just a couple of weeks ago’.
As George drove into his drive, he was reportedly met by a strange sight as Rande ‘came from around the bushes driving George’s lawnmower and pulled up beside George’s car while Cindy was nearby in the garden cutting fresh flowers.’
No wonder the actor-turned-director was surprised!
The real highlight of the party seemed to be the Casamigos Tequila cake – a nod to George and Rande’s alcohol company – even coming with edible figurines of the business partners in a tequila bar.

Rande took to his Instagram account to post a picture of the two birthday boys posing with the cake, captioning the snap: ‘Celebrating our Birthdays @casamigos style. Thanks for the cool cake Amal’.
Seeing as Amal is due to give birth to twins just next month, we imagine that the foursome celebrated by taking it easy, but Cindy did reveal that the group went boating on the River Thames, posting a photo of her and her husband getting photobombed by George, captioned: ‘We can always count on him for the photobomb.’
Cindy Crawford recently revealed the sex of George Clooney's twins, with the couple said to be expecting a boy and a girl.
