It has been confirmed that Ed Sheeran was hit by a car in London and rushed to hospital this morning.
The Shape of You singer was riding his bike when he was hit by a car, and while he is reported to be in good condition, there are fears that he might have broken his right arm.
The singer himself broke the news to his fans via social media, taking to Instagram to inform his followers of his accident.
‘I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows,’ Ed captioned a snap of his bandaged arms. ‘Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x’
Ed has a busy few months ahead, with his first tour date set for October 22nd in Taipei, Taiwan, followed by concerts in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the Philippines.
And it doesn’t stop there - next there are tours in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Dubai.

There are of course fears that the injury might affect the singer’s upcoming tour - especially seeing as he is a right-handed guitarist - but judging by the comments on Ed’s Instagram account, his fans’ only concern seems to be that the 26-year-old makes a speedy recovery.
Get well soon Ed!
