Ed Sheeran just opened up about proposing to his fiancee Cherry Seaborn
Congratulations are definitely in order!

Despite making a career out of writing love songs, Ed Sheeran actually keeps pretty tight-lipped about his own relationships.
Fans were surprised therefore when the 26-year-old singer took to his Instagram to announce his engagement to childhood friend and longterm girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn.
‘Got myself a fiancé just before new year,’ he captioned a sweet polaroid photo of the two of them together. ‘We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx’.
Fans have been speculating about an engagement for a while after the Thinking Out Loud singer told Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio last year that he was ready to settle down with his girlfriend of three years.
‘This has been the first time I’ve ever actually had the time to fall in love properly,’ he announced. ‘I’ve always got into relationships very passionately – I’m a redhead and also Irish. But then I will get in a relationship and go on tour for 18 months and everything will fuck up. And I’m like, “Oh, what happened?” But it’s because I had no time to put into someone.’
It was when Ed started speaking about children, however, that people started to get excited about Ed and Cherry’s next step. ‘I wanted to be a dad, like, last year. I’m ready, let’s go – tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around’, the singer explained.

Actor Russell Crowe then only fuelled rumours, accidentally spreading speculation that the couple had married in private during a Facebook Live Chat interview last year.
Talking about his friendship with Ed Sheeran on a Facebook Live chat with Australian radio DJs, Fitzy and Wippa, the 53-year-old actor explained how Ed and Cherry had stayed at his farm, referring to Cherry as Ed’s ‘fiancee’.
‘[Ed] was on tour here and he was getting a bit burned out so he came up and stayed at the farm for a couple of days to get some sleep and then we became conversational mates,’ explained Russell. ‘He has subsequently gone back to the farm with his fiancee for more time.’
So it looks like Russell Crowe foresaw this whole thing - congratulations to him.
But mostly congratulations to Ed and Cherry!
