Bradley Cooper just dedicated his BAFTA win to Irina Shayk
This is lovely.
This is lovely.
Tonight marks the 2019 BAFTAs, with a host of A-listers and royalty taking to the Royal Albert Hall red carpet.
From the red carpet shut down to Timothée Chalamet’s suit, the BAFTAs made news from the get-go, but it was the ceremony that really made the most noise.
The Favourite and Roma have emerged as the BAFTA front-runners, but A Star Is Born proved so popular in terms of nominations that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga had to split the Grammys and the BAFTAs between them.
Yes, Lady Gaga was forced to miss tonight’s BAFTAs in order to represent the film at the Grammys while Bradley waved the A Star Is Born flag in London - and it’s a good thing too, with the film bagging the gong for Best Original Music.
Taking to the stage, Bradley paid tribute to his two leading ladies, Irina Shayk and Lady Gaga.
'I got to fulfill a dream I never thought would happen,’ Bradley announced of working with his co-star. ‘I share this with Lady Gaga tonight, the music was the heartbeat of this film.’

In a more surprising turn, the 44-year-old then went on to thank his partner Irina Shayk, with the couple famously keeping their relationship out of the spotlight.
'I also need to thank Irina for putting up with me while I was trying to make music in our basement for a year,’ he announced as the supermodel gave him a standing ovation.
