Twelve years after their split...
For millennials, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's divorce was only comparable to our parents', shaping our future relationships and dividing friendships, as we were all forced to pick sides - if you weren't Team Jen you could basically forget about having a social life during the naughties.
The former couple met on the set of Friends in 1998, getting married in 2000 and going on to become Hollywood's golden couple. From their matching nineties outfits to their stunning private wedding ceremony in Malibu - they defined ultimate couple goals.
The couple however split just five years later, with the Fight Club actor leaving Jennifer for his Mrs and Mrs Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie.
While Brad and Ange soon started a family, sharing six children, Jen was forced to live out the painful divorce in public, making headline news for years - something it seems her former husband now wants to make amends for.
Following his separation from Angelina Jolie, with the 42-year-old actress filing for divorce from Brad last year citing irreconcilable differences, he has had time to reflect on his past, reportedly leading him to get back in touch with his ex-wife to apologise.
According to In Touch Weekly, Brad got in contact to talk about how things ended, with the conversation reportedly giving the couple a new level of closeness.

'He's been determined to apologise for everything he put her through, and that's exactly what he did,' a source told In Touch Weekly. 'It was the most intimate conversation Brad and Jen have ever had.
The source continued: 'Jen was overcome with emotion. All the hurt feelings and resentment she'd suppressed for years came flooding to the surface, and she broke down in tears.'
'He apologised to Jen for being an absentee husband, for being stoned and bored much of the time. He also made amends for leaving her for Angelina.'
This news come after it was announced that Brad and Angelina have been undertaking spiritual counselling in a bid to reunite.
