Boris Johnson won the Conservative leadership race yesterday, with the 55-year-old announced to be the next UK Prime Minister.
Theresa May is tendering her resignation this afternoon to the Queen, with Boris Johnson expected to meet the Monarch afterwards to be welcomed onboard.
Boris’ appointment is a controversial one, with several ministers stepping down from their positions in protest, with Sir Alan Duncan and Philip Hammond resigning. More ministers are expected to resign.
And it’s not just ministers who have expressed their concern, with Twitter users taking to the platform to take a stand.
