Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement- 2004
In 2003 Anne was forced to drop out of Joel Schumacher's The Phantom of the Opera as she was tied to the second Princess Diaries flick. Her second time playing Mia Thermopolis didn't go down as well but still made $95.1 million at the US box office. Not bad.
Havoc- 2005
Good girl Anne goes bad (sort of) in the adult flick Havoc when she gets her kit off and appears in some steamy nude scenes. Despite her best efforts the film gets weak reviews and isn't released in theaters.

Rachel Getting Married- 2008
Another edgy role for Disney-ready Anne, this time she plays an eternally rehabbing addict who causes problems for her sister's wedding, which earns her overwhelmingly positive reviews, and nominations for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe.
Passengers- 2008
Another new genre for Anne, this time she plays a grief counselor in the thriller Passengers. Haven't heard of it? Probably because it was a bit of a flop. Oops.

In the American spi-fi comedy film Get Smart, Anne plays the partner and love interest of Steve Carrell's hopeless character. Worth a chuckle or two if you ask us.

Also that year Anne lent her voice to hit TV show Family Guy for several episodes.
One Day- 2010
Oh the tears that were wept when Anne starred opposite Jim Sturgess in the film adaptation of One Day. While her Yorkshire accent was a bit of a stinker, the film was a massive success.
Academy Awards- 2011
When Anne Hathaway and James Franco were picked to host the 83rd Academy Awards, the general wish was that they'd appeal to a younger audience. Unfortunately Anne's hyperactive performance and James' super chilled persona didn't go down well at all, with critics slamming their best efforts.
The Dark Knight Rises- 2012
Anne Hathaway loved playing Catwoman, and wearing her super sexy catsuit, so much she cried when it finished. The film also starred an A-list cast including Christian Blae, Tom Hardy and Marion Cotillard.
Les Miserables- 2012
Anne pushed herself to the extreme when she shed an astonishing 25 pounds to play a prostitute dying of tuberculosis in the film adaptation of Les Miserables. Potential Oscar winning stuff right there...
