And it's pretty emotional.

It was announced last week that Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are separating, with the couple confirming their divorce after eight years of marriage.

The actors, who share a four-year-old son together, took to their social media pages last week to issue a joint statement, breaking the news to their fans and followers.

‘We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.’

The statement continued: ‘Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.’

Both Chris and Anna have remained quiet since the news broke, keeping relatively low profiles, but with one of the 40-year-old actress' podcast episodes airing today, Anna took the opportunity to speak out to her fans.

While the podcast episodes are pre-taped, with this episode featuring Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, Anna added a recording to the start of this week's episode to thank her fans and friends for their support and love.

'Hey dear listeners, I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I've been receiving,' she opened the podcast. 'I truly love you.'

This week also saw Chris Pratt speak out publicly for the first time since the split, attending the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday and accepting the Sci-Fi Movie Actor award for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

‘Wow, thank you! I love you too,' he announced to the crowd after being presented the award by Stranger Things actress Mille Bobby Brown. 'Thank you.'
