The sad reason behind Kanye West's breakdown

Since the 39-year-old rapper was hospitalised earlier last week, all eyes have been on Kanye West and his family. Having been expected to be discharged yesterday, he is still on the road to recovery with his wife, Kim Kardashian West, by his side at hospital. It's been reported that Kim suggested he spend the rest of his recovery at home, but doctors deemed it too early for him to leave. Kim has supposedly not left his bedside the whole time and has been protective over who is allowed to visit him at this time.
It seems that the sad reason behind Kanye's breakdown is linked to the death of his mother, Donda, who passed away on 10th November back in 2007 after complications following liposuction surgery. Kanye has previously said, 'If I had never moved to LA, she'd be alive. I don't want to go far into it because it will bring me to tears.' Understandably, he finds this time of year difficult anyway, and we imagine the Kim Kardashian ordeal in Paris only exacerbated this.
It's also been reported that Beyoncé is convincing Jay Z to mend his former friendship with Kanye, who Jay Z used to refer to as his little brother. Their feud continued to come into the public spotlight after Kanye said onstage 'Jay Z, call me bro, you still ain’t call me. I know you got killers, please don’t send them at my head. Jay Z call me. Come to me like a man.'

Kanye West was already hitting headlines last week when he started saying that he would have voted for Donald Trump, and that people were too fixated on talking about racism, before abruptly leaving his concert in Sacramento. A few days later, he showed up late for a concert and started speaking out about his political views again after performing just two songs.
The rapper's messages continued with cryptic Kanye quotes including...

'It's a new world, Hilary Clinton, it's a new world. Feelings matter. Because guess what? Everybody in middle America felt a way and they showed you how they felt. Feelings matter, bro. I am here to change things. And things won't change until people admit their own falsehoods. I got the visions, bro. That's what I've been blessed with. My vision. I'm not always going to say things the perfect way, the right way. But I'm going to say how I feel.'
Kanye then posted 99 blurry fashion photos to Instagram within a four hour window and his erratic behaviour started to worry the public. He then went on to cancel all the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour with no reason given.
After an emergency services call, he is now under observation at Los Angeles-based hospital UCLA Medical Center where he's being treated for exhaustion. Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian West was in New York at a charity event honouring her late father when the news broke and it was reported that she headed back to LA as soon as she heard.
His mother-in-law, Kris Jenner was asked by Extra magazine about his condition and said, 'he's exhausted. He's just really tired. He's had a gruelling tour and it's been a grind, so he just needs to rest.'
Kanye is being described by medical professionals as 'medically stable' but has been taken to an area hospital for further assessment. Various news sources have said he's seeking treatment for severe sleep deprivation.
