This girl sure knows the way to a partygoer's heart - ply us with alcohol, in this case delicious fruity cocktails from the Light bar, keep the mini fish and chips, mini burgers, mini vegetable tarts and mini (anyone notice a trend here) doughnuts coming, and get both DJs 'The Broken Hearts' and Gemma Cairney to play killer choons and fill the dancefloor.
Acting more like it was a Friday night rather than a sensible Monday were Dawn O' Porter and hubby Chris O' Dowd, Gizzi Erskine, Made in Chelsea's Olly Locke, PPQ's Percy Parker, actor Russell Tovey and VV Brown.
Girl of the moment Kate flaunted her signature quirky style in a floor length red Alberta Ferretti gown with sky high Terry de Havilland shoes.
She explained that this third album, Girl Talk, was a new sound for her: 'It’s definitely a pop record, but has a new sound and feel to it. I played bass in a punk band called The Receeders for a couple of years and I love how powerful playing bass and using my voice like that made me feel. ʻGirl Talkʼ is full of colour, pop harmonies and melodies, and I feel like my voice has matured and that I can do more with it.'
So how was she feeling about her party? 'So excited, I'm having such a great time!'
Us too Kate. Here's hoping the album will help soothe our throbbing heads today!
