We know a long list of pre-holiday body beautifying tips is the last thing you want before you jet off on your vacances. So we've whittled it down to just the very basics with our easy fuss-free guide to getting summer ready, fast.
These are the only three skincare tips you need to get flesh-flashing ready this summer:
Step 1: Buff Use an oil-based exfoliator such as the Elemis Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow, £36.50. The rich mineral salts and hibiscus buff away dead skin cells while the coconut oil base locks in moisture to seal the skin. Top Tip: Knees, elbows and ankles are the areas particularly prone to dry spots after winter so work these areas first before exfoliating the entire body to even out skin.
Step 2: Tan Nothing screams healthy like an even golden glow. Undoubtedly, our new beauty hero is the St Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil, £25. We promise you it’s the easiest solution out there to cheat the summer glow. Packed with innovative self-tanning technology, it blends to a natural golden tan to match your skin tone right from the word go. If you want a deeper tan just leave it on over night before washing off. Top Tip: When applying fake tan always apply in stages. So start with the face and work your way down. This ensures no areas are missed.
Step 3: Hydrate Never use an oil-based moisturiser after tanning as it lifts the colour off. Instead try Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter, £24. The silky shea butter softens dry patches while the added vitamin E protects against environmental assaults. It's our ultimate skin food. Top Tip: Eat your way to hydrated skin. We always recommend inside-out care. Be sure to supplement your moisturiser with water-based food such as watermelon, cucumber and citrus fruits. They re-hydrate better than water and help keep skin smooth and nourished. Now this is how you can eat your way to beach beautiful: find tips for weight, skin, hair and nails...
