It’s no secret that Kate Middleton’s glowy complexion is the envy of many, but we’ve just started realising how much work she puts into looking fresh and effortless. From rosehip oil to skin gels, she’s got a number of favourite beauty products in her arsenal as well as a more controversial beauty masks to keep her looking fresh. However her personal make-up artist Arabella Preston has just revealed one of the Duchess’ thriftier beauty hacks and it’s surprisingly old school.
In an interview with The Cut, Arabella revealed that Kate actually uses a flannel to wash her face and it makes a huge difference. While they went out of style a little while ago due to concerns about bacteria and skin irritation, Kate’s bringing it back and her poreless face doesn’t lie.
Arabella told The Cut, ‘It’s all about the flannel...It’s quite necessary.’
The former beauty editor, who’s launching her own skincare line called Votary, is one of Kate’s most trusted make-up artists and was the woman who taught the Duchess to do her own wedding make-up. Arabella explained that a flannel does double duty: it both cleanses and gently exfoliates.
