The test subject: Bobbi Brown Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm, £37, fabled.com
What does it promise? A lightweight foundation alternative for dry, dehydrated skin. This formula is ultra-rich and blends easily, giving skin a dewy look with light coverage. That's why it's especially good for those with dry skin who want an incredibly emollient tinted moisturiser with sun protection, too. It's also great for layering over other skincare favourites. And it contains broad spectrum SPF 25 to help protect skin against damaging UVA/UVB rays. Meanwhile, Argireline® peptide boosts skin's natural collagen production and clary sage ferment strengthen skin's protective moisture barrier too. And water-in-oil emul sion creates a uniquely rich and emollient balm texture that helps promote immediate, and long term moisturisation.
Does it deliver? Yes! On all accounts. If you find that your skin never quite gets enough hydration, definitely give Bobbi Brown Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm a try. While other foundations crumble when applied to dry skin, this one moisturises. The result? No flaky, dry patches. And it gives a glow like no other. The only thing - if you want full coverage, this won't give it. It will help even out skin tone but your natural skin will still show through. It's exactly what it says on the tin - a tinted moisturiser.
Need something with more coverage? This foundation quiz matches you to the ones that are perfect for you – give it a go here!
If you do want something with more coverage, use this as an all over base first. Then, apply concealer to the areas needed. That way you will have an all-over glow and even skin tone.
