Meghan Markle's one rule for foundation is an empowering one
That we can ALL get on board with.
That we can ALL get on board with.
Meghan Markle fever is in full swing. Now we're savvy to 'the Meghan Markle diet' to achieve a flawless complexion, we also feel we need to know EVERYTHING about her beauty bag favourites, too.
While we’ve seen her style evolve over the last year, her beauty look has stayed pretty consistent (despite breaking royal protocol with this hairstyle). So one of the world's burning questions was getting insight into what she considers to be the best foundation for her skin.
She once told Allure that her pet peeve is when magazines Photoshop her skin tone, so it’s no surprise the Duchess-to-be wants her skin to be as natural as possible and her one rule for foundation is one that is really important to her...
Meghan’s former hairstylist and make-up artist, Lydia F. Sellers, worked with the actress before she moved across the pond and told Refinery 29 "Every time I'd do Meghan Markle's make-up, she'd say, 'Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don't want a ton of foundation,'" her no.1 glam squad girl said.
"It was more about the amount of product that went on her skin and keeping it really fresh and dewy, rather than caking it on. So I'd use the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation with a Beauty Blender because it's really easy to sheer out."
And of course, we love her even more for spreading the message that every girl should have the confidence to feel good in her own skin. Meghan is also known to be a big fan of natural products and Eco brands, Sellers added "Her approach is very effortless. She just wants to look like a better version of herself. That's something she believes firmly in."
