Forget the 80s, this year's pink eyeshadow is all grow-up
For years the beauty world has been pushing pink eyeshadow, liner and mascara. But for some reason, what looks good on the catwalk, simply doesn't translate to the real world. Until now.
Last night, the world's TV and film stars gathered to celebrate the 74th Annual Golden Globes Awards and we couldn't help but notice that one particular shade of eyeshadow was without a doubt having a moment. Pink.
Although it's quite common to notice a trend for make-up colours or hairstyles on the red carpet, it's pretty rare to come across so many celebrities wearing a shade of eyeshadow that's synonymous with the 80s. Yet, that's exactly what they did. And they came in droves.

Lily Collins kicked off the trend by sporting a soft wash of pink eyeshadow with a classic, matte red lip - both of which looked like a Pinterest dream against her flawless porcelain skin.
Meanwhile, La La Land's Emma Stone, took inspiration from the movie she was nominated for, opting for a soft, feminine, romantic look with her make-up artist, Rachel Goodwin, using a silvery-pink glitter shadow to accent the inner corner's of Stone's eyes.

And Hailee Steinfeld jumped on the pink eyeshadow band wagon, proving that the shade can be all grown up by matching her pastel-hued eyeshadow to the colour of her dress. The actress, who just turned 20, stunned on the carpet in a beautiful, sheer dress, custom made for her by Vera Wang.
So if you're looking to try the trend, try it now. Because pink eyeshadow is having a moment, we just don't know how long it'll last.
