Everything you need to know about the MAC Spellbinder Shadows
Is this the answer to a flawless smokey eye every time?
Is this the answer to a flawless smokey eye every time?
At one time we were satisfied with a no-frills eyeshadow. As long as it shimmered, came in rainbow shades and cost under a fiver, our inner make-up maven was content. For a long time, we thought we’d seen it all. But then magnetic make-up came along and made us all sit up and take notice. Enter MAC Spellbinder Shadow, £16. A shadow made of ionized, magnetically charged pigments that cling to lids like velvet.
Not only does the shadow stick to the magnet in it's jar (no more messy make-up spills, FYI) but, more importantly, it won’t budge from even the oiliest lids. This is thanks to the black, ionized pigments that are magnetically charged, fusing the loose powder together so it magically maintains its form and dimension.
Need a mascara to pair with your eyeshadow? Powder have put the best to the test and you can find your perfect match here.
So, when you run your finger down through the pigment, it will move downwards. But as soon as you leave it to settle for while, it bounces back into the position it was originally.
But how does this work to stick to your lids? After all, they're not magnetic. The secret is that the eyeshadow sticks to itself. So instead of having part of your shadow crumble and fall off, it all stays together in the spot you place it. Basically, each particle supports the next. And when you apply it, it's sort of feels like a velvety cream, but lasts like a powder.
There's eight amazing, powerfully charged shades to choose from, including cobalt blue, cool teal, warm olive, vivid emerald, deep amethyst, rich chocolate, smoky quartz, and metallic bronze. Ideal for the upcoming party season. So, if you're yet to master the smokey eye, this may just be your answer to perfection. No more panda eyes by midnight. Only impeccably even, shapely eyeshadow. It's foolproof!
Now that’s what we call sorcery.
