Iconic britpop band played the last gig of the Olympics BT London live concert series
While many people were watching the Spice Girls perform at the Olympics closing ceremony live at the Olympic Park, other lucky ticketholders were treated to a special gig by another iconic 90s band.
Blur played a triumphant set to tens of thousands of people, closing the special BT London Live series of gigs at Hyde Park.
Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree treated fans to hits including 'Tender', 'Girls and Boys' and 'End of a Century' as well as a special perfomance of 'Parklife', where they were joined on stage by Phil Daniels and Harry Enfield.
The band were supported by music legends The Specials and New Order, as well as new band Bombay Bicycle Club, which saw loads of fans happily dancing in the sunshine.
Before the concert there was speculation that yesterday's gig could be Blur's last ever performance, with James telling music mag NME: 'Our focus at the moment is getting Hyde Park right.
'I really don't know what happens next, that's the only honest answer I can give. It's precarious though. If Hyde Park is s***, then that's definitely it.'
