Are you totally addicted to your phone? Do you have empty hand syndrome when your iPhone is not wrapped in your fingers at all times?
Yeah, us too.
Phone addiction is a very modern and very real problem, with most of us guilty of ignoring our friends and family in favour of our glowing blue screens. Why talk to someone face-to-face irl when you can Snapchat them a picture of your face with rainbow sick spewing from your mouth?
However, one man has had enough. His name is James Hamblin. He's an editor for The Atlantic and he reckons he's come up with the best way to kick your nasty phone habit once and for all.
According to James, turning his phone screen grey has helped him focus, pick up his phone less and probably be an all round better person.
His theory? All the notifications on your phone are red, demanding your attention. The colour red stimulates excitement, gives you a rush of adrenaline. So chaining it all to grey simply means your phone makes less of an impact. Demands less attention. Is slightly more boring.
