Kate Middleton fans will be pleased to hear that the Duchess of Cambridge will be popping up in London for several public appearances in the coming weeks.

Duchess Kate, Prince William and Prince George are thought to have relocated to their new apartment at Kensington Palace Apartment 1A at the weekend, and it won't be long before we see the royals return to the spotlight for their duties.

Clarence House confirmed on Friday that the Duchess will attend a SportsAid event at Queen Elizabeth Park on Friday 18 October, where she'll take part in a training workshop. She'll also get to watch young athletes take part in wheelchair basketball, CP football, volleyball, fencing and badminton. It will be Kate Middleton's first solo engagement since the birth of her first son, Prince George, back in July.

As a patron of SportsAid, Duchess Kate's appearance will be an important one. She only took on the responsibility of the youth sports charity in April this year, to help young people build their skills, confidence and aspirations.

Rumours are also circulating on Twitter that the Duchess of Cambridge will be attending a medals parade with the Irish Guards on 6 December. Serving soldiers in Afghanistan have been tweeting their excitement about meeting Duchess Kate over the weekend, but nothing's been confirmed by royal officials yet.

We'll also see Kate, Prince William, Prince Harry and Prince George, plus a host of other royals at Prince George's christening on 23 October, and it's likely that Kate will attend the remembrance service next month.

Oh, it's good to have you back, Duchess.
