Beyonce and Jay-Z stepped out to toast the end of summer at an exclusive party in New York

Beyonce Knowles doesn't leave baby Blue Ivy at home often, but when she does decide to have a night on the town she pulls out all the tops.

Looking fierce in an animal print Roberto Cavalli dress, the 31-year-old singer arrived at La Marina Restaurant Bar Beach Lounge in New York City along with her husband, Jay-Z, and a group of friends.

Beyonce, who accessorised her Cavalli dress with black suede platform Nicholas Kirkwood heels and statement gold rings, got into the spirit of things (absolutely no pun intended) by sipping on brandy at the Summer Ends With D'USSE Cognac Cocktails bash.

While Bey chatted with her female friends at the soiree, Jay-Z spent time with pals Swizz Beatz and Memphis Bleek on the outdoor terrace.

Last week the superstar couple threw a fundraising event for Barack Obama at Jay-Z's 40/40 club in Manhattan, where they managed to raise $4 million for the President's re-election campaign.
