Lindsay Lohan's Razzie shame

Eddie Murphy Rex Features

Lindsay Lohan's latest film, I Know Who Killed Me, leads this year's Razzie short list with a rather embarrassing nine nominations, while Eddie Murphy's Norbit has a not-much-better eight.

The annual Golden Raspberry Awards are held the night before the Oscars and designed to poke fun at the worst films and actors of the year. Winners in the past include Sharon Stone, Tom Cruise and Halle Berry, who famously actually turned up to the ceremony in person and lampooned herself in a self-deprecatory acceptance speech.

This year, Eddie gets five individual nods – the most the Razzies has ever bestowed on one individual – while Lindsay gets two for the same movie, after playing two characters (who confusingly may well be the same person).

'I Know Who Killed Me is the most fabulously brainless movie since Showgirls, which Razzie voters picked as the worst movie of the 1990s,' Razzie founder John Wilson said.

'By the end of it, you still don't know what happened. Are they twins or aren't they? Did she imagine it? Can I please have my hour and 50 minutes back?'

Alongside Lindsay's and Eddie's films, other movies competing for Worst Picture include Bratz, Daddy Day Camp and I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry.
