The singer, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003, released a statement announcing her decision to undergo a double mastectomy as she updated fans on her recovery news as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
'In light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month l wanted to take the opportunity to support a cause particularly close to my heart,' Anastacia said.
'l was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time earlier this year and am currently in the final stages of recovery after undergoing a double mastectomy.
'It has been an intense journey but l am feeling great and ready to start the next chapter.
The singer, who revealed that she underwent a double mastectomy with Latissimus Dorsi flap surgical procedure, was forced to cancel her European tour when she was diagnosed with the disease for the second time last February.

Anastacia has been plagued by a series of health issues, including an ongoing battle with Crohn's disease and an irregular heart rhythm. She underwent a partial mastectomy and radiotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time in 2003.
'Breast Cancer Awareness Month gives all who are facing this disease a chance to gain strength and support from each other,' Anastacia continued.
'Early detection has saved my life twice. I will continue to battle and lend my voice in anyway I can.'
Angelina Jolie revealed she had bravely underwent a preventative double mastectomy earlier this year after discovering she carried the BRCA-1 gene, a decision her surgeon supported, saying it 'wasn't based in fear.'
Other celebrities who have shown their support for Breast Cancer Awareness this October include Beyoncé and Cheryl Cole, who posted Instagram snaps of their pink manicures to raise awareness for the cause.
