Mega blogger Aimee Song spills all about what she keeps in her handbag, her snapchat obsession and make-up must haves...
Aimee Song (aka Song of Style) may be jetsetting around the world attending Resort shows and just generally looking every inch the stylish lady we’ve come to expect, but she still carries about a million and one things in her handbag, just like us. We chat to the blogging mega-star about her style, her impressive bag collection and snapchat obsession…
How would you describe your personal style?
I started posting in October 2008 and since then my personal style has definitely evolved as I got older. I travel a lot as well so that has affected how I dress, but overall it’s easy going with a polished edge. I love to accessorize as well.
What do you look for in a handbag?
I always like a good structured bag or a bag with shape. I like bags that I can easily carry from day to night.
How many bags would you say you own?

I definitely own a lot of handbags – probably around 70 to 80! My favourite accessories are shoes and jewellery though but handbags are definitely up there. I really like investing in a handbag since you can carry them quite often.
What’s your dream AW15 bag?
I really like the new Chloe bag with chains that was shown on the runway. I’m such a Chloe girl!
What is in your handbag right now?
I have a python card holder which I use instead of a wallet, Dr. Jart chapstick and EOS chapstick, YSL rouge volupte lipstick and my new Sony camera as well as a couple of polaroids from my last trip to Florence. I only carry my YSL lipstick as a beauty product normally since I don’t wear tonnes of makeup. My must have products would definitely be a lipstick and eyebrow powder though. I really like having my brows filled in and realized that it makes such a big difference to the face. I also work as an interior designer so I always have a black spiral notebook with me for sketching.
What’s your favourite app?
I absolutely love snapchat (follow me at songofstyle!). I love being able to be goofy on my snapchat and show my friends and followers what I’m up to. I also recently joined Periscope, which is kind of similar to snapchat in the video aspect except everything is live and people can log in and chat with you!
What brands are you a big fan of?
I love Chloe because I feel it’s a brand that really embodies a fun, whimisical and strong girl. I really admire what Clair Waight Keller has done for Chloe. They know what a girl likes and how she can look and feel the best version of herself. I’m grateful that over the years, I’ve cultivated a great relationship with luxury brands like Chloe, Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton so I love to support them. From the new designers, I really love Self Portrait. Han makes ridiculously beautiful dresses that perfectly compliment a woman’s features and when you’re wearing one of his designers you feel like a million bucks. I probably own almost all of his dresses because they’re that good!
What do you do when you’re in London?
My favourite thing about London is the different people and vibe you get depending on where you go. I stayed at the ME Hotel last time I was there and really loved it because the rooms were super spacious and the rooftop has a beautiful view. I like to shop in Harrods because you can find anything there from a suitcase to luxury items and even high street pieces. I also love to go to Topshop and smaller boutiques in East London. When I was there last time I wore a light trench, ripped skinny jeans and studded boots that were comfy but chic to walk around the city.
