Hoffman reveals Jolie due date

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hit the red carpet yesterday - as Dustin Hoffman let slip she is due to give birth on 19 August.

The glamorous mum-to-be wowed fans at the Cannes premiere of her new animated movie Kung Fu Panda - in which she provides the voice of Master Tigress - in a flowing green Thomas Wylde dress.

But on the same day that co-star Jack Black revealed the star is definitely expecting twins, another co-star, Dustin Hoffman, let slip that she is due to give birth on 19 August.

The legendary actor, who also worked with Jolie's father Jon Voight in his breakthrough movie, 1969's Midnight Cowboy, broke the news to the same reporter as Black - the Today Show's Natalie Morales. She said: 'It seems like everybody is bursting at the seams around her with her baby news.'

At a press conference yesterday about the film, asked about reports she was planning to give birth in France, she replied that she had not completely decided, but added: 'We are certainly thinking of France.'

She said French was a second language which her children were starting to speak 'so being here is very good for them at this time'.
