Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on 20 February 1988, Rihanna's mix of pop and R&B has seen the singer have three hit albums to date and most recently she was awarded a Best Rap Song Collaboration Grammy for her hit single with Jay-Z, Umbrella, taken from her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad.
Umbrella had huge global success and spent ten consecutive weeks at number one in the UK charts. Her awards success has continued with wins at the People's Choice Awards in 2008 and the American Music Awards last year.
Rihanna is now back in the studio recording her fourth album and is scheduled to appear on the Glow In The Dark Tour with Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D.
She has been romantically linked to rising actor Shia Labeouf and musician Chris Brown.
