Jennifer was born in New York's Bronx to Puerto Rican parents. She paid her way through singing and dance lessons at the age of 19 and appeared in various music videos before becoming a backup dancer for New Kids On The Block, then Janet Jackson.
Her acting and music career really took off at the end of the nineties when Jennifer starred opposite George Clooney in the sizzling Out of Sight. Other less successful film roles include The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan.
Simultaneously Jennifer's music career flourished with her debut album, On The 6, featuring If You Had My Love and Waiting For Tonight, reaching the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
Jennifer's first marriage to Ojani Noa ended in 1998 and after a two and half-year relationship with P Diddy, she married her former backup dancer Cris Judd. Their marriage ended after a year and Jennifer's subsequent relationship with Ben Affleck became one of the most-publicised romances in Hollywood, earning them the nickname 'Bennifer'.
The relationship came to a close in 2003 after their planned marriage was called off hours before the event. Jennifer has since married singer Marc Anthony and the couple welcomed twins, Max and Emme, on 22 February 2008.
