The daughter of legendary actress Goldie Hawn, Kate was born in Los Angeles in 1979 and entered the acting world at a young age.
Her breakthough role came in 2000 playing Penny Lane in Almost Famous, winning her a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Kate went on to star in more hit films including, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Raising Helen and her latest, You, Me and Dupree in 2006.
She married The Black Crowes frontman, Chris Robinson, in 2000, and gave birth to their son, Ryder, in 2004. The couple separated two years later and their divorced was finalised in 2007. Kate has since had an on-again-off-again relationship with actor Owen Wilson, but she reportedly split from him to date seven-times Tour de France winner, Lance Armstrong.
