Lindsay was groomed for showbiz from the word go. She appeared as a child fashion model in commercials and magazines, and by the age of ten had begun her acting career in a US soap opera.
Lindsay's launch into movies came a year later when she starred on the silver screen in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. This marked her cataclysmic rise to fame with lead roles in Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded.
Sadly Lindsay's accelerated success has prompted her inevitable downfall with three stints in rehab during 2007 for alcohol and drug addiction. She has also been convicted of drink-driving and spent one day behind bars.
